Incorporated in 1993,Uttam Sugar Mills Limited is a prominent Indian sugar producer (part of the Adlakha family-promoted Uttam Group) focused on manufacturing, marketing, and exporting premium plantation white and double-refined sugar . The company operates through three main business segments: Sugar : Produces a wide variety of sugar, including double-refined, sulphur-free, pharmaceutical-grade, and speciality sugars like brown and liquid sugar. Distillery : Manufactures industrial alcohol and ethanol from molasses. Its current installed capacity is 300 KLPD (kilo litres per day), with a recent focus on expanding biofuel production. Cogeneration : Generates power using bagasse (sugarcane residue). It has a total installed capacity of 122 MW, with an exportable capacity of 64 MW, supplied to local power corporations. It operates four integrated plants in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand with a crushing capacity of roughly 27,000 TCD, producing speciality sugars, ethanol, and co-generated power.
